Our Favorite Huntsville Holiday Activities

The Morris Team got together and made a list of things we love to do during the holiday season around Huntsville. We hope this inspires you to plan a fun activity with your friends or family!

1. Ice Rink at the Museum of Art

One of our favorite activities is Ice Skating Downtown! It is a blast for the whole family. At only $10 for kids 9 and under, it will be hard to find a better deal. Just don’t forget to bundle up and wear warm socks! :)

2. Stovehouse Common Area

Whether you need home decor, a cup of coffee, or a nice cocktail to end the day, Stovehouse has it all. With over 30 vendors, there is something for everyone. With plenty of outdoor seating for their upcoming shows and movie fests, you’ll want to make sure you check it out!

3. Tinsel Trail (downtown Huntsville)

The Tinsel Trail is perfect if you are looking to escape for a night and travel into a Christmas-wonderland! Located in Big Spring Park, the trail boasts an estimated 300 trees fully decorated in beautiful lights. Walking through the trail at night feels like holiday magic!

(And it's free!)

4. Galaxy of Lights at Botanical Gardens

This is the 25th anniversary of Huntsville’s favorite holiday tradition: Galaxy of Lights, a spectacular drive-through display of breath-taking lights. This 2.5-mile scenic drive will leave you feeling like you are in the North Pole itself. Tickets range from $18-$30.

5. The Camp

Need the perfect place for a night out? The Camp has you covered. With a large variety of food and drink options to choose from, everyone will have a great time! Enjoy Miracle at Midcity now until December 27th!

Miracle is a limited time event at The Camp that includes Christmas themed Cocktails, holiday music, and events.

6. Winter Wonderland at Toyota Stadium

Stay safe and warm at this drive-through light show. You will see with this jaw-dropping display of lights, the term “Winter Wonderland” is not an exaggeration! Not only will the Toyota Field host the beautiful light show, they will also have cookie and ornament decorating, hot cocoa, fire pits and shopping! Cost is $25.

7. Burritt on the Mountain

Enjoy a lovely dinner in the Burritt Mansion and feel like the holidays will never end. The dinner menu boasts a wide variety of up-scale cuisine that is sure to become a family tradition.

Happy Exploring!
