The Huntsville Botanical Garden

This is a perfect place to spend the day! It has plenty of walking trails and wild life to fill your day with joy! Kids love watching the turtles swim and sunbathe. If you need to take a break, there are hammocks that are perfect to relax in the shade. The butterfly house is absolutely captivating as hundreds of butterflies show off their beauty.

Trash Panda Games

Go support Huntsville’s very own minor league baseball team! The Rocket City Trash Pandas play home games at the Toyota Field. With games happening all the time, it would be hard to miss out! Sprocket, the team’s mascot, loves taking pictures and hosting fun races in between innings! The Trash Pandas bring non-stop fun. Catching a game = perfect afternoon outing.

Greene Street Market at Nativity

Huntsville’s famous farmers market is a must in the summer. Get your fix of locally sourced and responsibly farmed fruits and vegetables here. The best part about Greene Street is it happens every week on Thursdays, AND it is free to attend!


Live Music

Live music is coming back to your favorite venues! If you are comfortable with it, going to a concert is the perfect opportunity to return to normalcy and break out those dance moves! With shows coming back to Sidetracks Music Hall, Mars Music Hall and TrashBone Warehouse, there are plenty of shows to choose from.

Space and Rocket Center

A Huntsville classic; this list wouldn’t be complete without a trip the The Space and Rocket Center. Whether it's space camp or just a day trip, kids absolutely love it (and parents do too!). Debuting this summer is a new exhibit: Drones: Is the Sky the Limit? Kids will learn about the history and potential future of drones and more!
